If you’ve spent even a brief moment on Twitter as a Texas A&M football fan, you’ve likely come across the type of people 2020 5-star wide receiver recruit Demond Demas came across the other day. These people, mostly fans of that one school down in Austin, like to point out how Texas A&M hasn’t won a national championship since 1939, and hasn’t been to a conference championship since the 1990s.
The problem with most of these tweets is they often come in the context of Aggie fans getting hyped about something good happening. They use it as ammo to bring us down, as if we’re not supposed to get excited about having excellent recruiting classes and a top five head coach.
