The average fan that watched Trevor Knight play quarterback in college can tell you that Knight wasn’t the most accurate passer. Knight’s 2016 completion percentage (51.9) was dead last in the SEC. And the SEC wasn’t highly regarded for their level of quarterback play.
But it was never Knight’s arm that made him invaluable to Texas A&M last season. Rather, he set himself apart with his leadership and athleticism.
Run Trevor, Run
Knight carried the ball 102 times for 614 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2016. Texas A&M’s zone read attack with Knight and freshman running back Trayveon Williams was one of the most dynamic offensive threats in the country.
