The tight end position become somewhat of a joke under Kevin Sumlin with Texas A&M football. Although he frequently recruited high profile three and four-star recruits at the position, he rarely used them and his promises to utilize them more before every season were pure entertainment.
Comparing the stats between Sumlin’s final years and the instant impact from Jimbo Fisher is one of my favorite past times. It’s difficult to understate how different the two offensive philosophies are, until you see this tweet.
