Texas A&M football went old school in a lot of ways this season. While Jimbo Fisher’s offense hasn’t lost touch with how offenses are moving the ball in this day and age, the Aggies were excellent at ball control and playing field position. Their average time of possession ranked No. 4 in the country and their net punting was No. 1.
That second number had a lot to do with Braden Mann.
We’ve outlined the ridiculous-ness of Mann’s 2018 season already. We cannot say enough about the dominance Mann displayed as a punter, and we’ve barely talked about how he also was the kickoff man for Fisher or how he also had four tackles and forced a fumble in coverage.
