When a team goes through an overhaul to the roster thanks to players graduating or declaring for the NFL — Texas A&M football had several of both — it makes spring football much more important for a head coach. There weren’t that many positions up for grabs last season, so Fisher could focus most of his energy towards getting the team on his page and getting his quarterbacks where he needed them to be.
The reverse is true of the 2019 team. Fisher will need to focus a lot of his attention on filling roster spots and a little less on Kellen Mond, who improved drastically last offseason.
