In 2018, one of the more publicized storylines for Texas A&M football was their starting quarterback. Jimbo Fisher inherited a team with two guys who had significant playing time at the position in 2017. It was easily the most important decision of the offseason.
He ended up choosing Mond, and even with Nick Starkel breathing down Mond’s neck given his ability, Fisher never wavered. Mond is his guy. Starkel transferred and officially opened up competition to be Mond’s backup.
Connor Blumrick has been running with the second team offense this offseason. He did so in most of the media availability for practice.
