Texas A&M football alumni: Armani Watts already showing value for Chiefs

When the Kansas City Chiefs took former Texas A&M football star Armani Watts with the 124th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, most agreed they were getting a steal. The Aggie safety had started all four years of his career in the Southeastern Conference, which annually sends the most players to the NFL.

However, few expected him to get a chance to start right away. Thanks to injuries to both the Chiefs starting safeties, they have relied on Watts to fill in during the preseason. He has not disappointed.

Watts led the way in snaps in the Chiefs’ first preseason game by a long shot.
