Texas A&M football fans got some bad news when Jimbo Fisher announced at SEC Media Days that Vernon Jackson’s neck injury will keep him out of the 2019 season. Although he didn’t get to spend much time as Jashaun Corbin’s backup in the spring, he was among those getting reps and believed to be in the rotation for actual games.
It’s a big loss, but not one the Aggies are not prepared to handle. Corbin was always going to be the starter and should be able to step into Travyeon Williams’ shoes behind an offensive line mostly returning from last season.
