One of the biggest tasks for Jimbo Fisher in his first few recruiting classes with Texas A&M football has been getting a secondary that can keep up with the college football game, which has trended towards the up tempo offense, and specifically the passing attack, over the past decade.
The Aggies have had some elite pass rushers over the past couple of years, but never any marquee shut down cornerbacks. Most of the talent at the back end of the defense has been the safeties. Fisher locked up two safeties in 2018 and two in 2019, with all but Jordan Moore still on campus for the upcoming season.
