Several weeks of spring practices gave way to a one of the more highly anticipated spring games that Texas A&M has ever seen. The intrigue of a new coach, new offense and some new faces was enough to fill the stands with the maroon-clad faithful who were ready to cheer on their team. It wasn’t quite the hoped-for 100,000, but nearly 50,000 fans were in the stands for what amounted to be an extended practice session.
Kanye West’s “Power” blared over the loudspeakers as the team entered the field, the last remaining remnant from Kevin Sumlin‘s time at Texas A&M.
