Texas A&M has added one of the nation's top dual-threat quarterbacks to its recruiting class of 2020.
Longview High School senior Haynes King committed Wednesday to A&M, he told the Longview News-Journal. King (6-2½, 189) is ranked as the nation's third-best dual-threat quarterback in the 247Sports composite ranking.
He chose the Aggies over Auburn, Tennessee and Duke after a junior season where he accounted for 50 touchdowns and led Longview to a state title.
King pointed to A&M coach Jimbo Fisher as a key factor.
"Jimbo Fisher, he's proven to develop quarterbacks and put them into the league," King told the News-Journal.
