OMAHA, Neb. Louisville erupted for five runs in the bottom of the second inning and went on to an 8-4 victory over Texas A&M on Sunday afternoon at the College World Series.
All five runs came off A&M starter Corbin Martin.
The Aggies fell into the losers bracket at the double elimination CWS. They will play an elimination game against the loser of Sunday night’s game between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Florida Gators at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the CWS, the last team to overcome a five-run deficit and win at the CWS was TCU against Florida State on June 23, 2010.
