John Chavis is entering his third season as the defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, and feels “optimistic” about the progress on his side of the ball. He said as much on TexAgs Radio Tuesday.
Chavis said he likes the talent the Aggies will feature up front in 2017, and that the pressure on opposing offenses could come from the middle of their defensive line instead of the outside.
“I feel good particularly about our defensive tackles,” Chavis said. “We’re going to be fine at defensive end and I think we’ve finally got some depth at linebacker.
