The winningest coach in Texas A&M history is joining the College Football Playoff selection committee.
Former A&M coach R.C. Slocum will join the committee for the 2019 season, the CFP announced Wednesday morning. Slocum joins Arkansas State athletic director Terry Mohajir and retired Army General Ray Odiernoas men who will serve three-year terms on the committee.
"All three have built esteemed careers based on character and diligence, which will continue the CFP tradition of committee members who are football experts and also people of high integrity," CFP executive director Bill Hancock said in a release.
Slocum was 123-47-2 in 14 seasons at A&M.
