COLLE STATION, Texas – Upon arriving at Texas A&M in January 2015, John Chavis saw something in Brandon Williams, the running back, that he just could not let go.
He saw a potential star at cornerback.

At 6 feet and a bit more 200 pounds, Williams had the perfect build for an imposing corner. Perhaps more important, he is an excellent athlete. And as evidenced by his 4.37 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine, he can fly.
In his one season at the position, Williams regularly held down the starting spot opposite De’Vante Harris and had big moments throughout the season.
