Texas A&M junior center Erik McCoy announced Thursday evening that he will forgo his redshirt senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft.
McCoy becomes the fourth Aggie underclassman to declare early, joining fellow juniors Jace Sternberger, Tyrel Dodson and Trayveon Williams.
"First off, I'd like to thank God, my family and The 12th Man for the opportunity to go out and represent this great university. The connections, friendships, and memories I've made over the past four years will last a lifetime," McCoy wrote in a statement.
"Arriving in College Station as a 2-star recruit at 17 years of age in 2015, my goal was to earn a college degree and eventually pursue my dream of playing in the NFL.
