Thursday night’s contest marked the 1,000th men’s basketball game played in Memorial Gymnasium on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. The Aggies showed up seeking revenge after falling by 12 points the last time the two squads met. This time, the deficit was not as large, but a loss is a loss – and definitely one that will sting.
Coming off of a tough game against No. 17 Florida, the Aggies were looking for momentum to carry over to the next few winnable games. Unfortunately, just twenty minutes before tipoff, Texas A&M announced that Sophomore DJ Hogg would be out for the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury.
