Texas A&M basketball is going through a tough transition period this offseason. They lost arguably their three best players from last season and don’t have an impressive recruiting class coming in to replace them.
Robert Williams was the No. 27 pick in the draft by the Boston Celtics, and Tyler Davis and DJ Hogg lost their amateur status when they hired agents. Neither of the two were taken in the 2018 NBA Draft.
I thought there was a chance one team would draft Hogg very late in the second round. He entered the draft with a lot of momentum from some media outlets who pegged him as a low-risk, high reward type player.
