Buzz Williams has his work cut out for him as he looks to rebuild a reeling Texas A&M basketball program. The Aggies made the Sweet 16 in 2018 and 2016, yes, but they also missed the tournament every other year under Billy Kennedy, including this last season’s poor 14-18 effort. Anyone expecting a tournament appearance in year one may need a reality check.
That’s not to say the Ags won’t be a formidable opponent. Williams has a knack for getting the most out of his players. This is something you would expect from a guy who got his start as an assistant coach with Billy Gillispie at none other than Texas A&M University.
