Early season basketball must be taken with a grain of salt, but Texas A&M basketball will have the chance to build some nice early-season momentum with a win at home over mid-major Louisiana-Monroe on Monday.
The Aggies won their season-opener at home against Northwestern State on Wednesday, winning Buzz Williams’ Texas A&M coaching debut. The Aggies were shorthanded, as both T.J. Starks and Josh Nebo, two of the Aggies’ top returning players, were out with injuries.
Against Louisiana-Monroe, it is unknown whether Starks or Nebo will play. Starks should be back before the Gonzaga matchup on Friday, but there is no timetable set for Nebo’s return, which makes it very unlikely that we will see the big man take the floor for the Aggies on Monday.
