Texas A&M Basketball coach Buzz Williams has always done well in obtaining transfers.
However, that was not the case this week.
First, the Aggies were among the finalists for Kerry Blackshear, a big man out of Virginia Tech who was widely regarded as the top grad transfer in the country this year.
Missing out on Blackshear certainly hurts, but it probably wasn’t the most realistic match. While Williams coached Blackshear for three years at Virginia Tech, Texas A&M was probably the worst-off team out of all of the schools that Blackshear visited.
Perhaps more surprising was the Aggies missing out on Quentin Grimes.
