The Bobcats got out front early, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a Theodore Hoffman groundout. Hoffman would strike again in the third inning with a two run homer to left field. Despite a relative stable outing from Aggie starter John Doxakis, the maroon and white found themselves behind 3-0 on the road early.
Texas A&M would go on to win the contest 9-3. When they had to find a way to get runs on the board, the Aggie offense responded in emphatic fashion. Down 3-2 with the bases juiced in the 6th inning, the Aggies had two outs.
