This final series of the 2017 Texas A&M Baseball season followed a very familiar narrative that has been present all year: a promise of hope followed by a gut punch reality check. No. 22 Texas A&M (36-20, 16-14) managed only one win over the weekend series vs. the No. 16 Arkansas Razorbacks (39-15, 18-11) as the regular season concluded Sunday night.
There were a lot of things to like as usual. Corbin Martin’s performance on the mound Saturday was encouraging. However, the repeated inconsistencies of the Texas A&M offense over the course of the weekend continued to hinder the Aggies from being more than a good baseball team.
