COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M has stockpiled some freshmen talent and brought in a veteran point guard this season, so one of the Aggies’ top signees from last season is exiting the program in search of more playing time.
A&M announced on Monday night that sophomore point guard Alex Robinson is seeking a transfer. Robinson played in 32 games for the Aggies last season, averaging 5.2 points per game, and scored a career-high 21 in their loss in the second round of the NIT to Louisiana Tech to close out the season.
He didn’t play in the Aggies’ opener this season on Friday, a victory over USC Upstate, because of an ankle injury.
