COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M assistant men's basketball coach Isaac Chew resigned from his position Thursday afternoon.
In a statement, Chew cited family reasons as his reason for resigning. Chew was hired by Billy Kennedy in May 2016 from Virginia Tech after the Aggies lost assistants Rick Stansbury and Kyle Keller following A&M's Sweet 16 run.
"While I will miss the incredible men in this program, stepping away from basketball is what is best for my family at this time. I have been so blessed to work at Texas A&M and to learn under Coach Kennedy and I am a better coach because of my time around him, my fellow assistants and the incredible student-athletes in our program.
