COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M is adding a point guard to its collection, former South Florida fan favorite Anthony Collins, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The former Westbury Christian standout is graduating this semester, meaning he’ll be eligible to play for the Aggies immediately for his senior season.
Collins, known for his hustle and diving for balls, likely will provide depth behind the likes of sophomore Alex Robinson and senior Alex Caruso. The 2015-16 squad is expected to be coach Billy Kennedy’s best in his five seasons at A&M, and Kennedy has already said he anticipates the Aggies, led by Danuel House, Jalen Jones and Caruso, making the NCAA Tournament.
