Texas A&M's Billy Kennedy has nearly doubled salary thanks to bonuses from NCAA tournament

Texas A&M's Billy Kennedy has the Aggies in the Sweet 16 after wins over Green Bay and Northern Iowa in the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament. A late season string of wins earned a regular season conference title plus a NCAA three seed for the Maroon and White. For Kennedy, the success also led to a five-year contract extension, not to mention a bevy of bonus bucks.

Kennedy entered into this season set to make a base salary of $1,000,000. According to information provided by the Indy Star, the 2016 SEC coach of the year has nearly doubled that amount thanks to bonus money in the postseason.
