All things considered, the Texas A&M Aggies had a pretty drama-free Early National Signing Day. The vast majority of commits had their letters of intent faxed in before 10 a.m., there were no de-commits, and A&M snagged one additional recruit when they flipped four-star defensive end Derick Hunter from Florida State. And today, the Aggies completed their slew of 23 early signees when they received the fax from Dickinson Tight End Jalen Wydermyer.
The class maintained their #3 ranking (both nationally and in the SEC), and the current signed class looks like this:
- 2 five-star recruits, 10 four-star recruits and 11 three-star recruits
- 10 on offense, 12 on defense, 1 on special teams
- 15 players from Texas, two each from Florida and Georgia, and one each from Alabama, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Virginia
Based on what we know, things will likely settle down for a while.
