TE chooses A&M over Alabam, LSU others

The Texas A&M Aggies shook up your (read: my) lazy Sunday by securing a commitment from three-star Southlake Carroll tight end Blake Smith. Smith chose A&M after visiting this weekend over offers from Alabama, LSU, TCU, Florida State and many others.

At 6’4” and 247 pounds, Smith already has the size Jimbo Fisher seems to prefer in his system. He is the seventh commit in Texas A&M’s 2020 recruiting class, with five of those commits being on the offensive side of the ball. The class is ranked 20th nationally, but 10th nationally when looking at average recruit rating.
