Status of Texas A&M's top returning cornerback uncertain heading into opener against UCLA

The status of Texas A&M's top returning cornerback is uncertain heading into the Aggies' season opener against UCLA.

In an in-house interview published on Wednesday, A&M defensive backs coach Ron Cooper said sophomore defensive back Clifford Chatman moved to cornerback opposite sophomore Charles Oliver. Cooper did not reference senior Priest Willis in the group of cornerbacks.

When asked which cornerbacks were impressive in the preseason, Cooper was very high on Chatman, who appeared in 12 games last season as a true freshman.

"Cliff, who we moved over there, has had a really good two-a-days," said Cooper, who is in his first year as an A&M assistant.
