ARLINGTON -- Arlington Lamar four-star defensive lineman Bobby Brown stunned the recruiting world Wednesday morning, flipping from national champion Alabama and signing instead with Texas A&M and new coach Jimbo Fisher.
Brown (6-4, 282), ranked as the 17th-best defensive tackle in the nation in the Class of 2018 by 247Sports.com, decommitted from A&M on Dec. 20. He committed to Alabama two days later.
Alabama is coming off a 13-1 season, and it won its fifth national title since 2009 under coach Nick Saban by beating Georgia 26-23 in overtime in the College Football Playoff national championship game.
