Returning to Texas A&M as one of the nation's highest-paid coaches is the latest stop in Buzz Williams' atypical coaching career

COLLEGE STATION -- Buzz Williams' coaching career started when he picked up a broom in a converted airplane hangar.

He was a student at Corsicana's Navarro College, sitting in the bleachers, hoping to catch a glimpse of Lewis Orr's practice. Orr told Williams he couldn't watch. But he could sweep the gym and join Orr's staff as a student manager.

Nearly 30 years later, Orr was sitting in the front row of Reed Arena as his former manager made his grand introduction at Texas A&M. With his family beside him on Wednesday, Williams walked into the arena for his return to College Station.
