A former local high school standout is reportedly headed to Texas A&M as an assistant coach.
Missouri's Joe Jon Finley is expected to fill a vacancy on Jimbo Fisher's staff at A&M, according to a report from TexAgs.com. Finley, who spent the last three seasons at Missouri, was a quarterback at Arlington High from 1999 to 2002 before he signed with Oklahoma.
Finley will reportedly coach tight ends at A&M, replacing the spot recently vacated by Tim Brewster. Brewster was at A&M for Fisher's first season before he joined former Texas coach and longtime friend Mack Brown at North Carolina.
