Jim Turner is returning to Texas A&M as its offensive line coach, according to multiple reports Thursday. Football Scoop first reported the news.
Turner previously worked at A&M under former head coach Mike Sherman, helping build an offensive line that produced three straight first-round draft picks, including No. 2 Luke Joeckel in 2013 and No. 6 Jake Matthews in 2014.
Turner followed Sherman to the NFL's Miami Dolphins after A&M fired Sherman after the 2011 season. Turner will be A&M's third offensive line coach under coach Kevin Sumlin. A&M split with Dave Christensen officially on Sunday after one disappointing season under the offensive line coach/run game coordinator.
