Trevor Knight — rookie quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals — will play the entire second half of Thursday's Hall of Fame game, according to the team's website.
The former Texas A&M gunslinger receives his first shot at the professional level in the form of this season's inaugural preseason game. He will start the entire second half against the Dallas Cowboys, the website said.
Starting quarterback Carson Palmer and backup Drew Stanton won't participate in Thursday's contest. Blaine Gabbert is slotted to start in the first half, while Knight will follow in the final two quarters.
