To those who followed Texas A&M's tumultuous 2017 football season, Tony Buzbee's name might ring a bell.
But if not, here's a quick refresher -- Buzbee was the A&M board of regents member who issued a lengthy Facebook rant about firing then-coach Kevin Sumlin after the Aggies' meltdown against UCLA in the season-opener.
Now, the Houston-based attorney is in the news again. He wants to be Houston's next mayor.
In an interview with Houston's KRIV-TV on Tuesday night, Buzbee announced his intentions to run for the elected spot.
"The worst thing that could happen to me is to be the mayor of Houston," Buzbee told the local Fox affiliate.
