Texas A&M was expected to sign a quarterback in its 2019 class without any drama.
But this is recruiting. And because of what's happening at another SEC school, the No. 19 Aggies could be in jeopardy of losing one of their longest commitments.
According to a report from ESPN, Georgia has been in pursuit of Buford (Ga.) Lanier quarterback Zach Calzada, a who committed to A&M in June. When asked by the Macon Telegraph on Tuesday, Calzada did not confirm he'd be signing with the Aggies on Wednesday's national signing day.
The recent interest from Georgia comes after Tuesday's report that the Bulldogs were set to lose freshman quarterback Justin Fields, a former 5-star recruit.
