One of Texas A&M's top targets to become the Aggies' athletic director has taken himself out of the running for the job, according to a report.
Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens has elected to stay with the Pac-12 program, according to a report from the Eugene Register-Guard.
Mullens was one of the top candidates to fill the vacancy created by Scott Woodward's departure to LSU in April. According to the newspaper, Mullens opted to stay at Oregon ahead after A&M offered him the job.
So far in the process, the Aggies have sought high-profile candidates to replace Woodward.
