Report: Former Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie finds kidney donor

Last December, former Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Kentucky men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie told The Dallas Morning News he needed a kidney transplant "ASAP."

A little over two months later, one of the most successful coaches from Texas may have found a willing donor.

In a report from SEC Country, Ericka Downey, wife of Mark Downey who coaches at Division II's Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, was sitting on the floor while cleaning her closet last December when she read Gillispie's story. Even though she had never met Gillispie, she felt compelled to take action.
