When former Texas A&M cornerback Nick Harvey met with reporters this week, he shared a familiar criticism of the Aggies' previous defense.
According to The State, the South Carolina grad transfer said his old A&M unit under former defensive coordinator John Chavis is much simplier than the one he's running with the Gamecocks.
"At A&M, we played just a couple calls," Harvey said, according to the newspaper. "Here it's way more calls. This defense puts the corners, nickels and safeties in the best position for them to succeed."
In 2016, Harvey started 12 games at cornerback and was slated to compete for a starting job in 2017 when he suffered a season-ending knee injury during a scrimmage last spring.
