Texas A&M's quarterback depth has reportedly taken another big hit.
Aggie senior Jake Hubenak is not expected to play on Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette, according to TexAgs.com's Billy Liucci. The web site reports Hubenak is suffering from a lingering shoulder injury, making walk-on freshman Colton Taylor the back-up behind freshman Kellen Mond.
At this point in the season, the Aggies (1-1) can't afford to lose any more quarterbacks. A&M lost redshirt freshman Nick Starkel for the season with a broken ankle he suffered in the opener against UCLA.
Earlier in the week, A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said he expected Mond and Hubenak to play this weekend against the Ragin' Cajuns (1-1).
