COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M is gearing up for its most anticipated basketball season in years, but first on the Aggies’ plate is an 11-day tour of Italy and Greece.
The Aggies, expected to be a consensus Top 25 preseason pick, are scheduled to visit Rome, Latina, Sorrento and Pompeii in Italy and Athens in Greece, and play four games along the way. A&M coach Billy Kennedy said Wednesday that senior star guard Danuel House won’t play because of a sprained ankle he suffered about 10 days ago, and is being held out primarily as a precaution.
A&M had one of the nation’s top-ranked recruiting classes in 2015, and the touted freshmen will get an early start on their collegiate careers with the European swing.
