Dave Christensen, Texas A&M's run game coordinator and offensive line coach, will not return to the staff after one season in Aggieland, according to an A&M statement released near the time the Super Bowl kicked off Sunday.
Additional staff changes were expected after A&M coach Kevin Sumlin hired a new offensive coordinator in Noel Mazzone in January.
Christensen was brought in to improve A&M's physicality and ability to run when it wanted and needed, but the offensive line struggled in 2015 and A&M's run game often faltered in short-yardage situations.
Christensen, a former head coach at Wyoming, made $475,000 a year, just shy of former offensive coordinator Jake Spavital's $500,000 salary.
