New Texas A&M athletic director Scott Woodward said in April that he had “no objection” to reviving the rivalry with Texas and Longhorns coach Charlie Strong said at a speaking engagement Friday that “they’re trying to work out something right now where we go play the Aggies.”
But before all college football fans applaud a rivalry revival — a rivalry that should take place every season — a Texas A&M spokesman told the Austin-American Statesman that “no specific discussions have taken place.”
Actually, that falls in line with what Woodward said in April.
