A few days removed from a report that Knight had worked out with the Houston Texans Knight also met with the New York Jets. The Jets are another team in desperate need for a quarterback. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith, and Bryce Petty didn’t do much to give the front office any confidence last year.
The Jets hold the No. 6 pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. At that spot it’s highly likely that they’ll have their choice from at least two or three of the better quarterbacks in the draft. Knight is thought to be more of a fringe quarterback prospect at this point, but if the Jets are unable to snag someone they love early he could be an option in the later rounds.
