When Texas A&M reeled in coach Jimbo Fisher with a $75 million deal this offseason, the university showed it was willing to spend money to improve the football program.
That principle also carries over to other members of the new coaching staff. Additional contracts released through open records requests show a trend of increasing salaries for A&M assistants.
Offensive line coach Jim Turner, a holdover from the previous staff, will earn an annual base salary of $600,000, while linebackers coach Bradley Dale Peveto is set to earn $500,000 a year, according to agreements released by the school.
