College football’s early signing period begins in a matter of days, and Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies just added what could be an instant-impact player to the 2019 class. On Saturday night, Arizona Western College’s Elijah Blades, the top-ranked junior college cornerback in the country, decommitted from Oregon and committed to A&M.
Blades was originally a four-star high school recruit in the class of 2017, signing with Nebraska, but chose to go the junior college route instead. The 6’3”, 170-pound corner held scholarship offers from nine other SEC schools, including Alabama and LSU.
