Right now, hundreds of bills are being prepared by state representatives across Texas for the start of the next legislative session (Jan. 8, 2019).
But there is one that might catch the eye of college football fans nationwide.
Texas State Rep. Lyle Larson filed a bill, HB 412, Tuesday that would require University of Texas and Texas A&M football teams to play on the fourth Thursday, Friday or Saturday of each November, according to a tweet from Chuck Lindell of the Austin American-Statesman.
If this bill passed and the teams failed to play on those days, they would lose all football scholarships that use state money.
