It was announced on Friday afternoon that true freshman quarterback Kyler Murray would be getting his first start of his career when the Texas A&M Aggies take on South Carolina.
This decision came after previous starting quarterback Kyle Allen struggled last week against Ole Miss throwing for only 88 yards and an interception.
Allen, who had started every game since taking over for Kenny Hill midway through the 2014 season, tweeted out his confidence to Aggies fans following the announcement. He told fans that they shouldn’t count him out, reminding them of him overcoming Hill last year after losing the initial quarterback battle.
