Kevin Sumlin says Texas A&M starting quarterback won’t be named before fall

The 2017 Texas A&M starting quarterback won’t be named immediately.

Kevin Sumlin said after practice "there won't be anything decided until fall camp" regarding A&M's starting quarterback.

Following Trevor Knight’s departure, the Aggies will look to senior Jake Hubenak, redshirt freshman Nick Starkel and early enrollee Kellen Mond as starting options at quarterback. Hubenak replaced Knight when he went down with an injury late in the 2016 season and threw for 884 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions.
